Air Quality Information:

Roosevelt Vision (inside the Salal Credit Union Building) has had Ionization units installed on our rooftop HVAC air intakes. The Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology (NPBI), from Global Plasma Solutions, delivers clean indoor air that is safe and healthy, producing neither ozone nor other harmful by-products. The ionization units purify the air by eliminating airborne particulates, odors and pathogens

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR YOUR VISIT

  • Until further notice, everyone who enters Roosevelt Vision must bring and wear a mask in our office.

Added Safety Precautions:

  • Our staff is following strict CDC and OSHA requirements for disinfection of rooms, handwashing, and use of protective equipment including masks, face shields, or goggles and gloves as appropriate.

  • Patients who are unvaccinated and have participated in air travel, weddings, family reunions, large outdoor or indoor BBQs/parties need to wait 4 days before being seen in our clinic.

New Patient Virtual Forms and Check In

  • New patients, prior to your visit please complete your registration forms found HERE to bring with you to your visit.

  • Arrive to your appointment 10 minutes in advance to allow for parking.

Optical Frame Gallery

  • To make sure our frames can be properly sanitized between patients, browsing, and trying on frames we have sanitation trays in our frame gallery for all touched frames that our staff will use to ensure all frames are sanitized before adding them back to our shelves. Our optical specialists will be available to give you personalized attention and help you choose the perfect frame and lenses!

Examination Protocols

  • Eye examinations will be problem-focused based on your primary concern and classified as either medical (evaluation of a known or new medical eye condition) or routine vision (updated glasses and/or contact lens prescription with screening eye wellness evaluation).

  • If you are low risk and not having any new symptoms, some testing you normally expect as part of your comprehensive eye examination may be deferred until the pandemic is over.

  • We will be relying on high-quality wide-field retinal Optomap imaging in most cases to allow us to view the retina and maintain physical distancing.

5/4/2020 UPDATE:

To Our Patient Community:

We are excited to share that Roosevelt Vision has started our re-opening process! As of today, we are now offering limited office hours to address any medical eye problems you may be having, or to follow up on medical eye conditions that have been deferred. If you need us, please call (206) 527-2987.

Starting May 18, 2020, in addition to continuing all medical eye care, additional slots have been added to expand access to vision examinations for individuals who are having vision changes needing updated prescriptions, or replacement glasses. Online scheduling is available HERE. Due to the extension of the stay home directive, if your vision is stable, please wait to schedule your vision examination until at least Phase 2 of Governor Inslee’s plan for re-opening the state.

As we are likely to face ongoing coronavirus concerns for the indefinite future, we have added extra precautions if office to ensure we have a clean, safe, low-risk environment for both our staff and patients. We know that you still need care for your vision and medical eye concerns and realize you may be hesitant to do so during a pandemic. To alleviate these concerns, Roosevelt Vision has set up new guidelines for entry and modified some procedures for your safety and wellbeing. Please take time to review WHAT TO EXPECT FOR YOUR VISIT at the very top of this page.

It has been a long and challenging few months, and we appreciate all the words of support you have sent! We are genuinely excited to be able to get back to doing what we love to serve your eyecare needs. We appreciate your understanding as we all adapt to these changing times and new protocols and look forward to seeing you back in the office soon!

In Gratitude and health,

The Roosevelt Vision Team

4/29/2020 UPDATE:

The RVS staff misses you! We have worked together to create this EYE MISS YOU video:

3/23/2020 UPDATE:

Roosevelt Vision closed last week to do our part to help slow down the spread of the Coronavirus and flatten the curve. Our closure has had a huge financial and emotional impact on our employees' and doctors'. We are working tirelessly to help keep our business going by thoroughly researching and weeding through the federal and state-run programs that will help keep our small business afloat through the next months. I urge you to please support us and indeed all the small businesses in our community in any way you can. For us, this looks like

1.  Order your contact lenses directly from us, with link to CL ordering online or email us at contacts@rvsmail.com  if you would like to use insurance for your CL order

2.  As soon as we reopen, schedule your eye exam and consider purchasing a new pair of glasses or sunglasses from our optical boutique to help us ramp up to bring employees back ASAP.  We have opened up the online schedule starting in May

3.  Help us support our hourly employees who are struggling to pay their bills and feed their families by donating to our COVID-19 employee emergency fund

We want to continue to help you and we have set up the following during our lockdown:

  • If you have time-sensitive general queries related to your glasses orders or would simply like us to mail your glasses to you please email us at contacts@rvsmail.com

  • We will continue to see our patients with emergent eye care issues. Please call 206-527-2987 and you will be connected with our doctor on call
